This week students made nets of 3D shapes. A net is where the 2D shapes that make up a 3D shape are printed or drawn flat on paper, the students took their nets, cut them out, and folded/taped them into the 3D shape. The most interesting shape was the cylinder, as students had a variety of conversations about how a cylinder was actually formed. Students also continued working on their architecture projects. We have several students that now have 4 walls cut and once their glue dries they will begin working on their roof.
